Set-up and prep take as little as 10 minutes for an initial test, and the actual test—including future site visits—takes about a minute. For an average test, that’s 60 times faster than hydrostatic.

Dri-sump uses zero water and requires no cumbersome cleanup. After the test concludes, the Aerosol fog dissipates harmlessly within minutes, producing no waste. This means there’s no need to consume and contaminate precious water—and no risk of spilled liquid or groundwater impact.
More Precise
Dri-sump uses digital technology to deliver conclusive results quickly, rather than relying on manual measurements and prolonged observation. In addition, Dri-sump patented technology uses gas (aerosol) pressure instead of liquid, so it can detect smaller leaks reliably per EPA requirements. Liquid pressure varies greatly based on volume and composition (e.g., water vs. fuel) and takes more time to be detectable even with larger orifices. Dri-sump is proven to detect leaks as small as 0.05 gallons per hour (gph) under typical conditions, while the hydrostatic standard is 0.10 gph under ideal conditions.
